Liverado uses open source encryption algorithms to protect email communications through end-to-end encryption. The messages cannot be intercepted during transmission, nor can Liverado or other email providers access them. Only senders and recipients can read the message.
Messages between Liverado users always automatically use End-to-end encryption (E2EE). In addition, we support our users to send end-to-end encrypted messages via PGP/Inline, PGP/MIME, S/MIME or Pretty easy privacy protocols to non-Liverado users.
In addition, you can send encrypted messages to non-Liverado recipients by sending password encrypted messages. Below, we will explain how to make this a reality.
How to send encrypted messages to non-Liverado users
Write down your message first. Before you click Send, click Encrypt. If you choose to encrypt the email, any attachments will also be encrypted end-to-end.
Create and confirm the Message password. You can add a password reminder to recall the recipient's memory.
How recipients read and reply to encrypted emails
Your recipients will receive an email notifying them that they have received an encrypted email. They need to follow the steps to view messages:
Click the View Security Message in the message.
Enter the Password that you agreed upon in advance. (Your recipient also has agreed and known the password before receiving the message).
Your recipient should make sure they enter our official website liverado.com, not any phishing website.
Then, they can read the decrypted message. (Except the recipient, no one else can read the message.)
They can also reply to the message. This reply is end-to-end encrypted. (And any attachments they send will also be encrypted end-to-end.
If you want to be safer
You can also verify our SSL certificate. In addition, you can also check Header Information to ensure that our DKIM and SPF records match.
The safest way
Liverado accounts benefit from automatic end-to-end encryption between Liverado accounts. If you have sensitive communication needs, we recommend both you and the recipient use Liverado. In this way, you can ensure that your communications will not be intercepted or handed over to any third parties.
