Create a strong password
Note:Don't forget your password even though you can reset the password with a recovery email. You will not be able to read the previous emails because the password is linked to your encryption key. You will ever not be able to access the previously encrypted data.
Enable two-factor authentication (2FA)
Even if someone steals your password, 2FA will protect your account. When 2FA is enabled, Liverado will ask you to enter a six-digit code every time you log in as an additional security layer. A separate application generates code. Learn more about how to enable 2FA.
Encrypt emails sent to non-Liverado contacts
PGP encryption can significantly improve the security of communication. Liverado allows you to exchange end-to-end encrypted emails and attachments with Liverado and non-Liverado account owners simple and reliable.
Encrypt and verify your contacts
Liverado Contacts is one of the best contact managers. You can use zero-access encryption and digital signature verification to store certain contact information, such as phone numbers and mailing addresses. These tools provide an encryption guarantee to ensure that no one will tamper with your contacts, not even us.
You can also use the trust PGP public key option when you receive a message from a trusted Liverado contact. This function can save the public key of the contact and prevent tampering.
Note: Liverado has access to your contacts' display name and email address to route your email to the correct recipient and provide advanced features such as auto-complete, spam filtering, and whitelisting.
Check the authentication log
You can check whether there are suspicious logins in your account through the authentication log feature provided in Liverado's settings. Please note that if you decide to continue using this feature, Liverado will have access to successful login attempts.
Log out of other sessions
If you are worried that other people can access your account, or you forgot to log out on a public device, you can log out remotely through setting. You will be remaining logged in for up to six months unless you log out or change the password. Learn more about logging out of other sessions.
Beware of Phishing
Liverado will never ask you to provide login credentials. Enter your credentials only in our official app and website:
Liverado provides additional anti-phishing protection through PhishGuard, DMARC protection and link confirmation. If you feel an email is suspicious, do not click the link or download the attachment.
Report phishing to Liverado
If you feel an email is suspicious, you can report it through email@example.com.
Protect your device security
The most effective hackers are usually the least technical. Device theft is one of them. Keyloggers and other types of spyware also deserve attention. When in public places, please pay attention to your device and always set a password for it. After you use a shared computer or device, please do not forget to log out.
Do not click on links or open attachments in emails from unknown or unverified senders, especially the attachments are end with.exe or .zip. They may contain malicious software that harms your device or account. Mark the message as spam. Since then, the incoming messages from that sender will be in your spam folder.
Use a secure VPN to protect your Internet traffic
Use a safe VPN, so your passwords and confidential data will remain safe even via a public or untrusted internet connection.
We recommend that all new Liverado users check this list. These steps are particularly important when creating a Liverado account. It would be best if you always kept vigilance. Following these ten tips will enhance your account's security.
