Library What is Autocrypt

Autocrypt is an encryption protocol that improves key management with a fully automated cryptographic key exchange between peers.

One of the problems with end-to-end encryption is that the encryption only works if both parties are using the same email service. Or at least, if the other party's email provider support protocols (Such as PGP or S/MIME), it can be encrypted. The reason is that email providers need to exchange keys securely. Now, this issue has been solved with Autocrypt.

Autocrypt is an encryption protocol that enables encryption between different email services. It is implemented on top of OpenPGP. And replacing complex key management with fully automated, insecure cryptographic key exchange between peers. So sending encrypted emails to non-Liverado users has become possible.
