Library How to perform advanced searches

Due to end-to-end encryption used by Liverado, we cannot access your emails or attachments and perform a full-text search on the server. Because of this, there are certain restrictions you must acknowledge.

The search feature can help you find the information efficiently. Liverado provides several ways to search for messages.

You can look for the email by input the parameters in the search field below:

  • Subject

  • Recipient email address

  • Sender email address

  • Date message sent/received

  • Folder or label (where the mail is located)

  • Attachment (user can only choose "yes/no", not attachment name)

For example, you want to search for emails sent by Bob@hello.com with attachments between 1/1/2021 and 1/3/2021.

  • In the field of sender email address, you enter "Bob@hello.com".

  • In the box of dates, you select from 1/1/2021 to 1/3/2021.

Instead of showing you all the emails sent by Bob, the Liverado system will only display Bob's emails with attachments between 1/1/2021 and 1/3/2021.

By default, when you search for a keyword on Liverado, we assume it is a wildcard search. When you search for "keyword" in programmatic terms, you search for "keyword*".

For example, if you are searching for emails from emilyross@liverado.com, typing "Emily" or "Ross" will also display the results of "emilyross@liverado.com".

If you always want to use exact match mode, you can set this as the default setting:

  1. Go to Settings page.

  2. Click Accounts.

  3. Check the box in front of Exact match required.

If you want to disable this feature, you can uncheck the "No exact match required" box in the setting:

  1. Go to Settings.

  2. Click Accounts.

  3. Uncheck the box in front of Exact match required.

Since Liverado uses end-to-end encryption, we cannot read your emails or attachments, so we cannot search the email body.
